As a daily wage worker, Manikandan constantly worries about his daughter, Baby Karnika, who is battling “B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia”, a form of Blood Cancer. While on his breaks, thoughts of her hospitalization at KMCH Cancer Center, Coimbatore, consume him.

The ordeal began when Baby Karnika’s fever persisted despite antibiotic treatment, and she experienced swelling in her body. After numerous tests, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis of Blood Cancer.

The cost of Baby Karnika’s treatment amounts to Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs Only). Given Manikandan’s modest daily income and the responsibilities of his three-member family and rent, finances are tight. He has already depleted his savings and borrowed from relatives and friends, having spent one lakh rupees on his daughter’s treatment.
